OVERVIEW

Dr. Edward Haynie provides an overview of his experiences in designing and organizing science outreach programs at the secondary and collegiate education levels. His focus has been on promoting student and teacher development.


The goals of the programs that he has been involved in has been focused on initiatives that enhance knowledge, an understanding of concepts and skills for students in mathematics and science. The objectives have been designed to increase the underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and enhancing scientific literacy. In addition, the programs have been designed to focus on increasing academic achievement, exposing students to career opportunities in STEM and preparing students to be career and college ready in pursuit of degrees in STEM related studies such as agriculture and pharmacy.
